We strive to limit our impact on the environment as well as on the inhabitants of the island and their traditions.
Infrastructures in harmony with the environment
Our hotel has been partly built from natural and local materials (bamboo, coconut wood and Alang-Alang roofs) in an attempt to keep as close as possible to local architectural and the surrounding nature. We chose to use mostly reclaimed materials for both furniture and decoration in bungalows and common areas.
Respect for local traditions
Since its opening, our hotel has complied with each and every ritual in accordance with local traditions. We have our own temples to honor the gods, follow the calendar of ceremonies and Balinese Hindu customs. Namaste Bungalows staff members are all from neighboring villages, Bali or nearby islands.
Environment protection in the interest of all
Nusa Penida’s resources, like most of Bali, are limited. With your help, we try to use them wisely and no more than necessary. Water, in particular, is precious, when possible we encourage you to reuse towels and turn off AC in your bungalows when you leave for the day.
OUR HOTEL
When opened in 2013, Namaste Bungalows was the first hotel with a swimming pool built on Nusa Penida.
We have 10 bungalows and 10 mini suites layed out in a 2500m2 tropical garden. A restaurant with a wooden terrace overlooking lush jungle down below and a swimming pool.
Check-in is possible from 2:00pm and check-out until 12:00pm
Restaurant
The terrace restaurant welcomes you from 7:00am to 10:00pm nonstop (last orders at 9:30pm)
This beautiful 120 m2 wooden terrace offers a breathtaking view of the jungle and is the perfect
place to enjoy a enchanting sunrise in the morning.
We propose indonesian and western food.
The Reception
Should you need information the reception desk can be found the entrance. Maps of Nusa Penida
are available there to help you organize all your trips on the island.
The Swimming pool
Towels are available at the reception. For your convenience, food and drinks can be served by the
swimming pool. A shallow end is available for children. Please keep an eye on them at all time as they swim under your responsibility There is no life guard on duty at the swimming pool, so we can’t be held responsible in case of accident.
Bale-Bale
You can have a massage in the bale-bale next to the pool if you fancy a relaxing moment of wellbeing. Our new bale-bale is also available to groups from around the world for yoga and/or meditation retreats.
